The Work of Salvation: Improving Gospel Teaching

The stake presidency feels impressed to have all teachers in the Pleasant Grove Utah Manila stake listen to interviews and messages the church has published regarding teaching. These recordings were published a few years ago as part of the Teaching, No Greater Call series on the Mormon Channel. There are eight recordings in particular that we invite and encourage all teachers to listen to and review.

Teach doctrine by the Spirit (D&C 50:13-14)
"Wherefore, I the Lord ask this question-unto what were ye ordained?  To preach my gospel by the Spirit, even the Comforter which has sent forth to teach the truth."

Invite to act (D&C 50:17-21)
"Verily I say unto you, he that is ordained of me and sent forth to preach the word of truth by the Comforter, in the Spirit of truth, doth he preach it by the Spirit of truth or some other way?"  "And if it be by some other way it is not of God."  "And again, he that receiveth the word of truth, doth he receive it by the Spirit of truth or some other way?"  "If it be some other way it is not of God." "Therefore,...he that receiveth the word by the Spirit of truth it as it is preached by the Spirit of truth..."

Testify of promised blessings (D&C 50: 22-24, 25-26)
"Wherefore, he that preacheth and he tat receiveth, understand one another, and both are edified and rejoice together.  And that which doth not edify is not of God, and is darkness."
